Former Miss India and famous actress Priyanka Chopra was born on July 18, 1982 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her parents Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri both are physicians by profession. His father was in army therefore she couldn’t study in a school for long time. Her family had to move frequently due to her father’s army job. She spent her childhood in Bareilly (UP), Newton, Massachusetts and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Priyanka started her education at La Martiniere Girl’s School in Lucknow. She had to relocated to US and she studied at Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts and John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After returning from America she finished her schooling education at Army School, Bareilly. She joined Jai Hind College, Mumbai after school education but can’t continue it after winning the title of Miss World in 2000.
Priynaka Chopra was the fifth Indian woman to achieve the Miss World Crown in 2000. Besides this title, she was chosen as a judge in Miss World 2009 competition in Johannesburg, South Africa. She started her career as a model after winning the crown and worked for several national and international brands. In 2002, she started her acting career with a Tamil film Thamizhan. In 2004, she did her first Hindi movie The Hero: Love Story of a Spy with Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta. In 2004, she won Filmfare Best Villain Award for her challenging role in Aitraaz and became second woman to win this award in Indian film industry. She also got Filmfare Best Actress Award and National Film Award for Best Actress for her amazing performance in Fashion. This film established her as a leading actress in Bollywood. She has worked with leading producers and directors with most reputed actors in his six year’s acting career. Presently she is working in several good movies including hosting of a TV show Khatro Ke Khiladi.
